Abstract
The research question addressed in this project is what services are schools in Minnesota providing for students diagnosed with a non-verbal learning disability. The motivating factor for this capstone was the struggle the author endured trying to raise and educate a child diagnosed with a non-verbal learning disability. This capstone details the definition, identification and subsequent services provided to students with NVLD. To discover answers to the capstone question a review and documentation of a student's journey navigating the maze of education and socialization prior to her diagnosis and subsequent journey post diagnosis. A list of educational professionals was crafted from both the private and the public sectors in the state of Minnesota to determine both knowledge of and services provided for students with NVLD. Surveys were sent out and results were documented. Responses varied given the educational setting.
