Abstract
This capstone looks at research on what could be possible causes for student misbehavior when the classroom teacher is absent. There are many theories summarized. Then, from ideas, based on the research, it looks for classroom strategies that would go along with Responsive Classroom curriculum. The main strategy found was Character Education. It was found to be an additional way to enhance the current RC classroom management. After using a combination of Responsive Classroom and Character Education, this capstone describes results noticed using a few different data collection techniques. Finally, once the results have been analyzed there is a discussion of where to go from here with the project.
