Abstract
Students with Asperger's Syndrome (AS) are found on the Autism Spectrum however contrary to classical Autism, they have normal to above normal IQ's and adequate communication skills. Individual's with AS lack appropriate social skills which in result in difficulties with peers, adults and academics. Because of the high IQ, students with Asperger's Syndrome will spend the majority of their day in the mainstreamed classroom, under the supervision of the general education teacher. This capstone was designed to educate classroom teachers about students with Asperger's Syndrome. The curriculum project broadened teacher's knowledge base while providing them with a variety of different strategies to use in the classroom for the development of social skills of their students on the spectrum.
