Abstract
The purpose of this qualitative project was to interview and gather insight from special education teachers in established two-way immersion elementary programs, to answer the following research question what model(s) of reading instruction are currently in use for students with learning disabilities enrolled in elementary two-way language immersion programs? The information gathered from the interviews includes descriptions of the programs along with special education populations, delivery of special education services, language of instruction, curriculums and strategies implemented and student accommodations and modifications. Common themes between the programs were analyzed and then connected to the limited research available on reading instruction for students with learning disabilities in two-way immersion programs.
