Abstract
The research question addressed in this project is: In what ways might single-sex classrooms effectively improve students' attitudes when employing character action strategies in a junior high setting? The author describes the results of students and teacher survey's and observation videos. The results are analyzed to determine the effectiveness of Character Action program titled, Mental Karate, written by Mawi Awsgedom (2010), on the attitudes of students in single-sex and coeducational classroom settings. The author concludes that, while attitudes of males during this study improved, more research must be done to determine its true effectiveness.
