Abstract
Many strategies have been suggested to use when teaching students vocabulary skills with weak working memories. This capstone summarizes many of the most popular strategies today. After choosing the S.T.A.R. program to use with a small group of students with learning disabilities, I found that the S.T.A.R. program could possibly work as one strategy. It was found that with some changes, the program could be a success. It is important to note that the environment in which this action plan was performed is much different than a typical mainstream school and other results could vary greatly from mine.
