Abstract
The focus of this research follows the growth and improvement of ten students in a sixth grade physical education class. These ten students worked together through challenges, warm-up activities, journaling and written assessments to improve relationships among students, staff and families. Activities in class served as catalysts to improve views of physical education. The research question that was produced in this project was, how to improve relationships within a physical education class given a limited amount of time with students. The project documents one teacher's process of bringing students to feel they belong or are of worth. The research focuses on areas of team/community building and allowing for students to contribute to making class a place where there is fun, comfort and learning. The research was greatly influenced by the ideas of Authors Alfie Kohn, Donald Glover and Daniel Midura.
