Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, what are the key components of a paraprofessional training program that includes an evaluation process? The author includes research for educating paraprofessionals, including French and Blacher, and two paraprofessional curricula, including Doyle and Twachtman-Cullen. After an attempt to develop a paraprofessional training program on her own, the author laid out a plan to implement a research-based program that included administrative supervision and communication from the paraprofessionals to guide the training program. The capstone concludes with the articulated plan for the following year.
