Abstract
The research question addressed was how can I use the technology of a SMART Board to create a sequence of daily art lessons for 6th and 7th grade students? The motivation for the topic included the observation of other teachers using the SMART Board and the option to use it in a classroom with the support to implement the technology. The author used the Backward Design method with district essential outcomes and Minnesota State Standards. The SMART Board technology aided the Backward Design method with visual hooks which are short topics provided by the internet and web links. The SMART Board technology should also increase visual interest and facilitate review for students. The author concluded that museum websites and other internet links are complemented by SMART Board technology.
