Abstract

The research question addressed in this project was, what best practices have been identified for striving readers? To answer this question the teacher becomes an ethnographer of the implementation of literature circles. In this qualitative triangulated study the teacher observed her teaching, made reflections, and interviewed a Hamline literary expert to determine the best techniques of literature circles with striving readers. Another aspect of this study was for future curriculum implementation of literature circles.
