Abstract

This study focused on showing how implementing literacy centers can incorporate many types of learning and understanding how the opportunities from literacy centers can enhance students' reading and writing abilities in the sixth grade. The aspects explored include the theories which support student-centered learning, how to create an environment conducive for literacy centers, and the advantages and disadvantages that literacy centers have in the classroom.
