Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, how can teachers adapt curriculum to tap into digital natives' read/write culture and use it to help students construct their personal and community narrative? Using Marc Presnky's terminology, it bridges the gap between those who would adapt curriculum to meet the needs of digital natives and those who would change digital natives to learn in traditional ways. The bridge proposed is using digital tools to enhance community through shared narrative. The capstone includes an action research project where students write poetry and share it with a broader community using a podcast.
