Abstract

This capstone project was a collaborative effort by two third grade teachers to increase student number sense. We both had seen students struggle in this critical area and recognized that developing strong number sense is enhanced by relating mathematics to students' daily lives. Our goal was to assemble materials and activities that would supplement the district mathematics curriculum. Materials and activities were designed to be used on a daily basis.
