Abstract
The research question addressed is, what are the signs of the three major types of eating disorders and the possible impacts of the three major types of eating disorders on a young female athlete's life? What are some of the typical methods of treatments for these disorders. The study documents surveys from parents who have had a daughter with an eating disorder and also female athletes who have had an eating disorder. The surveys and research are done to help uncover obvious signs and symptoms as well as hidden signs and symptoms. The researcher offers advice on how to approach treatment for eating disorders based on literature review and results from parent surveys.
