Abstract
This capstone included a literature review of strategies that through evidence based practices, have been shown the to be effective with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The outcome of this capstone was a curriculum that implements these strategies into the home setting and education of children who have ASD. The curriculum has a strong parent training component and was developed for use with children under the age of three. The strategies that were used in this curriculum were, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) /Behavioral Interventions, The Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS), The Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children Program (TEACCH), The Learning Experiences: An Alternative Program (LEAP) and The Floor Time method.
