Abstract
This action research determined the perceptions of the flipped classroom on a group of high achieving ninth graders in an algebra 2 course. This topic has limited research and my goal was to build on that. I implemented the flipped classroom to two classes of algebra 2 for a total of 61 students spanning 6 weeks. The students completed survey questions throughout the process giving rich data explaining their thoughts of the pedagogical technique. The outcome of this research will be used to guide future teachers in educating them about the flipped classroom and it will give them an idea if it will be applicable in their classroom.
