Abstract
Written over the course of ten years, this book of poetry lays multitudes before the reader. The living and the dead are ever-present in Anderson's work, a collective whose hearts are broken and healed, whose lives are torn apart and rebuilt as seasons change. Anderson's Midwestern roots are beautifully evident here. She embraces her natal geography and the many ways in which it anchors her life. Evident in these poems is a journalist's eye for detail, an historian's love of story, and a generous and abiding sense of place.
