Abstract

The reason for writing this capstone is to share information gathered from children with autism who were exposed to nature therapy. The main idea of this capstone is to see if nature therapy has any positive effects on children with autism. The focus of writing this paper explains that all though nature therapy is a relatively new therapy it can be beneficial to children with autism as it has been shown to benefit other children with mental and behavioral disorders. This project set out to show nature therapy for children with autism can help when working on their therapeutic goals. The results show that nature therapy can be used with children who are autistic and have positive effects. The results also show that professionals who work in this field are open to using nature therapy in their own classroom.
