Elementary Literacy Assessment
Academic Term and Year
Prepares teachers to utilize assessment tools and practices for planning and evaluation with K-6 students. Includes formal and informal assessment tools for concepts of print; phonemic awareness; vocabulary; comprehension; and writing. Participants engage in creating a literate and motivating environment that cultivates literacy. A 15-hour field experience is required. The course is full ONLINE and targets those teachers identified by the State Department as needing additional course work to meet Minnesota's additional reading standards.
