Special Topics: Towards a Documentary Poetics: The Poet as Journalist, Historian, Agitator THIS IS AN ONLINE COURSE This class will look at the ways poets have used cultural documents and sources---newspapers, advertising, public testimony, etc.--to produce poetry that merges the social and personal Students will work toward projects in documentary poetics and read selections from other poets.
