Content: Pitch notation in treble and bass clef, and on the keyboard standard rhythms in simple and compound meters intervals major, minor, modal and chromatic scales triads and seventh chords. PerformancePlus is self-paced, giving students the flexibility to accelerate through material that is familiar to them and focus study time where it is needed. A text with CD and website resources, definitions, listening, games, drills and quizzes will deliver the course content and guide the learning. Taught: Fall and spring semester. Co-requisite: Registration in Hamline Winds is required. The pairing of the co-registered courses provides the opportunity for students to make essential connections between the theory and practice of music.
