Course Description

Goals: To provoke reflection on, and understanding of, the basis, nature, content, and consequences of Christian moral thinking. To appreciate the variety of viewpoints of moral issues within the Christian tradition and their relation to the larger society. Content: Close reading and discussion of various approaches to Christian ethics followed by analysis of selected moral issues such as war, euthanasia, abortion, homosexuality, and racism.
