Course Description
In this First-Year Seminar we explore North Minneapolis in the years 1967-1968, fateful years of growing political consciousness, resistance, violence, and hope in the United States. A focal point of these developments in the Twin Cities was North Minneapolis. We will revisit those years through the eyes of people who worked, worshipped, lived, and learned on the Northside in the 1960s, and those who do so now.
