Course Description
This is an introductory course that will examine the impact of depression on children and their families. Particular focus will be placed on how depression impacts cognitive development and learning in children. This class will also explore the most common medical and psychological conditions associated with depression in children. Basic screening and intervention practices will also be discussed. Note: Can be taken as an elective for the Certificates in Other Health Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injury. Note: Online login and course information at www.hamline.edu/education/online
