Abstract

This capstone evaluates the unique circumstances and needs of a small elementary school examines existing gifted program models, gifted identification methods, and theory in the process of creating a gifted program for a small K-6 elementary school. A three-year plan for implementation of a gifted program embedded within the regular classroom is outlined with staff development plans included. Instructional strategies are intended to benefit all learners. Key influences in this qualitative study include Gagne, Lohman, and Renzulli.
