Course Description
Goals: To acquaint students with problems, trends, principles, and techniques of curriculum development and evaluation of student performance in physical education. To familiarize students with the computer software available for programming and evaluation in physical education. Content: History and principles of program development and planning, Minnesota State education requirements, evaluation techniques used in analysis of fitness, motor skills, sports skills, and knowledge. Basic research methods and statistics. Taught: Annually. Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing.
