Abstract
The research question addressed in this capstone was: How do pre-K-12 teachers and administrators in an urban district describe their experiences changing schools as a result of an involuntary transfer? The study consisted of interviews to five teachers and one administrator who have been through involuntary transfers. The author used the interviews to create guidelines for school districts and for staff being transferred to ease the process of involuntary transfers.
