A research based anthology of songs and activities to accompany a Spanish curriculum
Incorporating songs into the foreign language classroom can result in using songs either as a fill-in activity, or as a powerful and purposeful tool to assist students in becoming proficient in the target language. This capstone shows the value of using songs in the foreign language classroom and identifies the most effective ways in which to incorporate them into a pre-existing curriculum to make a comprehensive language program. Based upon the available literature, an anthology of songs and accompanying communicative activities was created for teachers to assist their students in becoming proficient in the Spanish language and becoming global citizens.
