Restricted Access Thesis
My capstone question is: How do Response to Intervention (RTI) teams view the ESL teacher's role? My research on the ESL teacher's role of RTI is a journey into the perceptions of peers and other educators in how to develop a plan for coordinating services, as well as expertise, in responding to students who are not making academic progress. As a result of my experiences in different settings as a teacher of English as a Second Language, I decided it would be useful to research RTI with regard to English Learners (ELs) and teacher roles in the process of interventions. My research was conducted through focus groups and questionnaires. I gathered answers to questions and developed themes to answer my guiding question.
