Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine if using the literacy block program model had an impact on ELL test scores as measured by the NWEA MAP scores. ELLs MAP scores from three different schools, in which the literacy block model was different in all three, were examined and compared to the RIT scale averages. Two consecutive years of MAP data were analyzed for the study. The research showed that literacy block scheduling did not have an impact on student test scores as seen in this study.
