Research was done on the following sub topics: How do teacher prejudice and or teacher bias negatively inform teacher expectations for their students what is the historical background of racial injustices against African Americans that have permeated our society for centuries are elevated expectations transformative for students are high expectations comparable to high academic achievement? This book documents the authors' person journey to these questions and then looks at research to find evidence to support and answers for these questions.
